New €10 Banknote to Be Issued on 23 September 2014
On 23 September 2014, the ECB will release its new €10 note. This series (€5 and 10) will feature an image to be applied in creating holograms and watermarks. It was derived from Greek mythology - it's Europa, daughter of a Phoenician king, seduced by Zeus. The note was designed under the Feel, Look, Tilt approach to significantly ease its authentication. Some security features have already been released with it. When tilted, the numeral "10" in the lower left corner will change its color from dark blue to dark green. Also, the new coating will make the note more wear-resistant.

Danmarks Nationalbank Ceasing Banknote Production
More and more people pay for their purchases/services by credit card and smartphone.
