National Bank of Kyrgyz Republic Issuing Commemorative KGS 100/200 Banknotes
For the 150th anniversary of Toktogul Satylganov, a prominent Kyrgyz aqyn, composer, and trump player, and the 100th anniversary of Alykul Osmonov, a famous Kyrgyz poet, playwright, and translator, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has issued commemorative KGS 100 and 200 banknotes with memorable letterings 'Токтогулга 150 жыл' and 'Алыкул Осмоновго 100 жыл' since 20 October 2014.
Commemorative KGS 100 Banknote Description
The wide unprinted space reproduces Toktogul Satylganov's profile image embosomed with the national ornament with memorable lettering 'Токтогулга 150 жыл'. The lettering, ornament, and profile are printed with offset. The note has a special varnish coating, Securicoat™. The latent image is in colorful rainbow Dynamic© image.
On the commemorative note, the serial no. starts with the 'ТС 150' acronym (for '150 years of Toktogul Satylganov') and a subsequent serial no. (from 0001 to 3000). The commemorative note was printed for circulation in 3,000 pcs.
Commemorative KGS 200 Banknote Description
The wide unprinted space reproduces an image as a feather with memorable lettering 'Алыкул Осмоновго 100 жыл' and blue wave-like patterns. The lettering, patterns, and profile are printed with scratch-off.
On the commemorative note, the serial no. starts with the 'AO' acronym (for Алыкул Осмонов) and a subsequent serial no. (from 0001 to 3000). The commemorative note was printed for circulation in 3,000 pcs.
The commemorative notes are officially legal tender throughout the Kyrgyz Republic.
